Hours & Admission

1. Open hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9a.m. to 5p.m.

2. Closed on Mondays (except national holidays, deferred holidays, Election Day), Chinese New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

3. Unscheduled close will be announced.

Museum Services and Guidelines

●  The service desk offers visitor information, lockers, a PA system, a lost and found, wheelchairs, and strollers. 

●  The museum has a basic first aid kit, accessible spaces, and accessible restrooms.

●  No smoking.

●  No pets or dangerous articles.

●  Please dress appropriately: wear a shirt with sleeves and do not wear flip-flops/slippers.

●  Do not eat, drink, speak/laugh loudly, spit, or litter in the museum so as not to disturb other visitors. 

●  No flash photography or tripods.

Get off at Shanhua Train Station→Get on Green Line 1 (at Shanhua Bus Station)→Get off at Southern Taiwan Science Park Bus Station→Walk about 3 minutes to the museum.

Get off at Exit 311, which merges into Anding East Road, and proceed toward Shanhua→Turn right onto Zhijianong Boulevard, which merges into Tree Valley Boulevard→Turn left onto Huoshui Road, which merges into Nanke 7^th Road→Turn right onto Huanxi Road Section 2→Turn left onto Siraya Boulevard→Turn right onto Huandong Road Section 1→Turn right onto Nanke 3^rd Road→Turn right into the underground parking lot of the administrative services area.

From the north via National Highway 3

Get off at Exit 340 (Shanhua interchange)→Turn right onto Chenggong Road (County Highway 178)→Turn left onto Provincial Highway 1→Turn right onto Siraya Boulevard→Turn right onto Huandong Road Section 1→Turn right onto Nanke 3^rd Road→Turn right into the underground parking lot of the administrative services area.

From the south via National Highway 1

Get off at Exit 315 (Tainan system interchange), which merges into National Highway 8, and proceed toward Xinhua/Sinhua→Get off at Exit 9 (Xinshi/Sinshih interchange) and proceed toward the Southern Taiwan Science Park→Turn left onto Xingangshe Boulevard, which merges into Nanke South Road→Turn right onto Nanke 3^rd Road→Turn right into the underground parking lot of the administrative services area.

From the south via National Highway 3

Get off at Exit 346 (Xinhua/Sinhua interchange), which merges into National Highway 8, and proceed toward Tainan→Get off at Exit 9 (Xinshi/Sinshih interchange) and proceed toward the Southern Taiwan Science Park→Turn left onto Xingangshe Boulevard, which merges into Nanke South Road→Turn right onto Nanke 3^rd Road→Turn right into the underground parking lot of the administrative services area.

Chartered bus (park in the northern parking lot)

Times: 9:30, 10:30, 14:30, 15:30 (60 minutes each)

Available every day the museum is open. Times/availability may change as posted at the museum. No need to register in advance.

Audio guide rental

NT$50 per audio guide at the service counter on the first floor. Languages: Mandarin (child and adult versions), English, Japanese, Taiwanese Taigi, and Taiwanese Hakka. You may freely choose which items on exhibit to hear about as you walk through the exhibition area.

Tours by appointment

Organizations and schools may make appointments via fax or phone. Appointments may be made up to three months in advance of the date of the tour. Limited number of tours per day.

Shops and Dining

As of May 27, 2023, the shop and restaurant at the museum are currently closed. For food, a three-minute walk to the Park 17 Life Style Center will bring you a number of choices: 7-11, MOS Burger, Starbucks, Han Lin Tea Room, Seasons Cuisine, and more.
